Fondazioni di origine bancaria: dalla privatizzazione al bene comune
Tra gli eventi in tutta Europa ad ottobre 2014 per celebrare la Giornata Europea delle Fondazioni - The European Day of Foundations and Donors - si è tenuta a Milano la conferenza “Fondazioni di origine bancaria: dalla privatizzazione al bene comune”, promossa da Acri e Fondazione Cariplo.
Nell’ambito dell’incontro sono stati presentati i risultati della ricerca Philanthropication thru Privatization [dalle privatizzazioni alla filantropia] in cui le fondazioni italiane rappresentano uno dei casi emblematici di organismi nati da processi di privatizzazione del sistema bancario.
La ricerca mostra sorprendentemente che percorsi simili – anche dal punto di vista legislativo - hanno dato vita a fondazioni di origine bancaria non solo in Italia, ma in diversi paesi, dall’Austria alla Nuova Zelanda, dalla Germania alla Polonia, alla Norvegia.
Durante il convegno si è analizzato anche al futuro della filantropia: alle nuove frontiere in termini di sfide, del modo di fare filantropia e della necessaria collaborazione tra società civile, mercato e Stato.

Also this year, foundations from all across Europe host many events in their respective countries to celebrate “The European Day of Foundations and Donors”. Acri and Fondazione Cariplo contributed to the commemorations with the international conference “Foundations: from privatisation to common good” held in Milan, October 2.
The journey started with the presentation of the results of the research project Philanthropication thru Privatization. The Italian foundations of banking origin represent an emblematic example of entities created out of a process of privatisation of the banking system, but similar processes took place in various countries, from Austria to New Zealand, Germany, Poland and Norway.
Besides the origins, we have look at the future of philanthropy, the new frontiers in terms of challenges, paths to achieve them, as well as the desirable collaboration among Civil Society, Governments and the Market.
