Sergio Urbani graduated in Business Administration at Bocconi University of Milan; was the pioneer of social housing in Italy, starting with a pilot project in Fondazione Cariplo, which led to the birth in 2004 of the Social Housing Foundation (promoted by Fondazione Cariplo, Lombardy Region and ANCI), of which he served as Director and CEO until June 2012.
With the Social Housing Foundation, Urbani has given rise to several projects in this field that has always been considered strategic by Fondazione Cariplo. He personally promoted innovation in the design and construction of residential building and the related services.
Since June 2012, he was Deputy General Manager of CDP Investments Sgr, an asset management society committed in the management of the FIA, national fund of about € 2 billion, protagonist of the integrated system of funds dedicated to the Social Housing , following the development of 41 projects across Italy.
Previously he also gained experience at ABN AMRO Corporate Finance (2000-2004), Deloitte & Touche Corporate Finance (1999-2000), and Bocconi University - as a fellow - and Bankers Trust International.
