Philanthropic Activities in 2018: calls for proposals and something new

A new year of philanthropic activities has started at Fondazione Cariplo. Unlike past years, in 2018 calls of proposals will be uploaded to our website progressively, starting today and over the coming weeks.

Another change concerns the eligibility criteria to apply for a Foundation’s grant.  In order to reach a broader grantee base and provide wider support to overall third sector growth, a new rule has been introduced to facilitate grantee rotation.  Starting from 2018, it will not be possible for an organization to receive grants in excess of €30,000 for more than two consecutive years. In addition, to impart greater acceleration for a more immediate tangible impact of third sector efforts, structural and infrastructural projects that do not fall under calls for proposals are required to be ‘shovel-ready’, meaning that works are to start within six months or the grant will be revoked.
