We work to reduce inequalities by taking action on various forms of poverty and vulnerability across the local areas in which we operate. We act to counter phenomena that, in addition to expanding across communities, are becoming transgenerational, by developing integrated responses that can address the multiple challenges in a systemic manner.

Inequalities as a multi-dimensional phenomenon

The local areas in which the Foundation operates, although characterised by widespread well-being in parts, have witnessed growing inequalities. Inequality is not only economic; it includes material, educational, opportunity poverty and unfavourable environmental conditions in people’s dwelling places. These gaps affect essential aspects of existence and, in addition to widening, are reappearing in subsequent generations. 

Our integrated approach to fighting poverty 

Since our inception as a Foundation, we have worked to combat inequalities by promoting skills, knowledge and fairer access to resources. Our actions are characterised by an cross-sectoral approach, the activation of broad fronts and a capacity for detailed data analysis.
