Our people  

Fondazione Cariplo has 89 employees (63% are women and 37% are men) with an average age of 41 years and an average length of service at our Foundation of 8 years. 86% of people working at Fondazione Cariplo have a university degree or a post-graduate master’s degree or a PhD (Data as of December 31, 2019).

Organization  

Fondazione Cariplo adopts a multifunctional organizational model structured into line functions and staff functions. Line functions are those carrying out core work, while staff functions provide advisory services and support to line functions.

The Executive Director, the head of Legal Affairs, and the head of Communications & External Relations report to the President & Board Chair and the Board.  

All other heads of area report to the Executive Director.

In addition to Finance and Grant Administration, which mark the beginning and the end of the philanthropic process, respectively, line functions include all philanthropic areas (Environment, Arts & Culture, Scientific Research & Technology Transfer, Social & Human Services).

Staff functions include: the Administration area, which heads three operating units (ICT, Management Control, and Human Resources & Organization or HR&O); the Research & Evaluation area; and the Secretariat & General Affairs operating unit.
