Fondazione Cariplo’s workforce consists of 100 employees (65% women, 35% men), with an average age of 43.5 years and average length of service of 11 years. 89% of the people working at the Foundation have a bachelor’s or master’s degree or a PhD (data at 31/12/2025).

Philanthropy Department

The Philanthropy Department develops the Foundation’s philanthropic initiatives, with the aim of generating a positive, lasting and measurable impact in the relevant community, in line with the Foundation’s mission and values. It fosters collaboration with public and private bodies and third sector entities, creating synergies that can boost the value of the resources invested.  

Financial Department

The Financial Department administers the Foundation’s assets, ensuring solidity and sustainability in support of our philanthropic activities over time. It promotes integration between financial management and the Foundation’s values, operating in full consistency with the mission and in compliance with the current regulatory context.  

Operations Department

The Operations Department takes care of the functioning of the Foundation, ensuring the co-ordination and integration of processes and resources to support philanthropic grant-making, in compliance with the Foundation’s strategic objectives and policies.

Legal Department

The Legal Department protects the Foundation’s interests, ensuring regulatory compliance and providing in-house legal support. It contributes to the proper and transparent management of legal and regulatory aspects, in full compliance with general and sector legislation, statutory and regulatory governance and the internal control system.  

Communications and External Relations Area

The Communications and External Relations Area co-ordinates the Foundation’s internal and external communications and manages relations at a domestic and international level, in line with the strategic guidelines. It deals with media relations and promotes the protection and enhancement of the Foundation’s image.
