Grants

THESE PAGES ARE DESTINED MAINLY TO ORGANIZATIONS TO BE GIVEN GRANTS (ITALY ONLY).

Read more about grants at the italian site.

By definition, grantmaking is the Foundation’s core activity. To ensure timely, transparent updates on its grantmaking, the Foundation is to provide clear, organized, timely instructions and information.
This is exactly the purpose of this section that is dedicated to all those who wish to apply for a grant, those who were selected as grantees and are requesting payment of the grant, and those who are interested in real-time information on the grants awarded.

TYPES OF GRANTS

Fondazione Cariplo makes grants in three main forms:

Grants to fund initiatives under calls for proposals approved by the Foundation’s governing bodies and published on an annual basis. Organizations that intend to implement projects in line with the objectives and guidelines specified in the annual Foundation’s calls are the only ones eligible for this type of grant.

Contributions to projects submitted by organizations based in the province of Milan (except for the geographic area covered by Fondazione di Monza e Brianza). These are projects the Foundation considers worth funding because they are in line with the Foundation’s action plans but do not specifically meet the requirements set out in the calls for proposals. In other areas of Lombardy and in the provinces of Novara and Verbania projects are supported by the contributions of local Community Foundations. Applications for this type of grant can be submitted directly to Fondazione Cariplo following the indications provided for submission of local projects.

Contributions to events, meetings and initiatives the Foundation decides to sponsor because they are in line with its purposes.
