Fondazione Cariplo is currently headquartered at 23, Via Manin, Milan, in a stately neoclassical palace which was the residence of Francesco Melzi d’Eril, then Chancellor of the Kingdom of Italy under Napoleon. The façade, with a pink granite stonework base, was designed by Giacomo Moraglia and dates back to about 1830, while the eighteen century courtyard features a portico with Doric columns and a roof terrace.
In the headquarters of the Foundation – the Melzi d’Eril building – are kept some of the many works belonging to the Foundation’s artistic heritage.
